RF Shielded HD Video Camera Systems

mk messtechnik logo

Since 1999, mk-messtechnik GmbH has developed and produced electronic test and measuring systems with a high immunity against electromagnetic fields.
mk-messtechnik GmbH core strengths are:
• camera and audio systems, shielded to 200V/m up to 40GHz
• optical transmission of “automotive” signals
• optical transmission of analog and digital signals
• optical transmission of industry interfaces
• special developments and productions
The AV systems serve the optical and acoustical monitoring of devices under test (DUT) during tests of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). The instruments and devices in the cockpit of a vehicle or the control panels of electronic equipment can be monitored with the help of the devices of the av-series. The signals are led out of the cabin via optical cables so the transmission is insusceptible for electromagnetic fields. DVD- and HDD-Recorders or components for the recording of video signals on the PC can be found in the category.

The dAV-Cr-HD-mini camera can be used for the optical and acoustical monitoring of devices under test during EMC measurements. It has an integrated mono microphone and can be remote controlled via fiber from the receiver in the control room. Because of its miniature size and the HD-resolution, high quality DUT surveillance can be done at locations with limited space, e.g. GTEM cells, cars, etc.

The dimensions are approx. 135mm x 86mm x 65mm.

With the optical transmission and the shielded case, the camera is well equipped for EMI and EME tests. No PC needed for display!

dAV Cr-HD-΅ Mini Camera
dAV Cr-HD-΅ Mini Camera
The extra small camera dAV-Cr-HD-΅ can be used for the optical monitoring of devices under test during EMC measurements.
It has especially been developed for restricted space applications (dimensions approx. 30 x 30 x 110mm) and can be remote controlled from the control room (digital zoom, integrated short range LED and so on). The mini camera is compatible to our existing HD system and can be connected as any other camera (camera channel needed). Because of the HD-resolution, high quality DUT surveillance is possible. With the optical transmission and the shielded case, the camera is well equipped for EMI and EME tests.

Infrared camera opto-LWIR
mk-messtechnik Infrared camera opto-LWIR

mk-messtechnik-optoLWIR-Infrared-Camera-Software

mk-messtechnik infrared camera opto-LWIR image being displayed on screen

The infrared camera opto-LWIR was developed specifically for use with EMC tests.

Fire Detection, Prevention and Protection!

While testing with high field strengths with directional antennas an overload of the DUT or the absorbers can be detected early to minimize or prevent any damage or danger!

A perfect example of the usefulness of the opto-LWIR is:
If you are testing a vehicle, it is better to spot a hot spot developing on a tire before a fire starts!

Avoid damaging your EUT and Chamber by detecting “Hot Spots” early!

Features
• The opto-LWIR camera is enclosed in an aluminum housing and is also available in an IP 44 version (suitable for OATS).
• The IR picture of the DUT is transmitted with max. 60 fps in a measuring range of -20° C to +150° C.
• The temperature deviation is less than +/- 2.5° C.
• Optics and resolution (640Χ480 and 384Χ288 resp.) are customized.
• The transmission of the receiver to the PC is via an USB 3.0 interface (IR data) and Ethernet (temperature sensors and camera control).

The opto-LWIR software can show POIs (Points Of Interest) as well as up to 20 denied ROIs (Region Of Interest) with adjustable temperature range can be displayed simultaneously.

dAV Cr-SD Camera
mk messtechnik dAV_Cr_SD Camera
The dAV-C / dAV-R system system can be used for the optical and acoustical monitoring of devices under test during EMC measurements. The dAV-Cr-SD camera has an integrated microphone and can be set via an external set-up LCD and eight buttons on the case or via (optional) remote control at the receiver. One field of application is the monitoring of dash-boards or displays in vehicles ALCs (wall mount application) during EMC-tests. With the optical transmission and the shielded case, the camera is well equipped for EMI and EME tests.

In the version dAV-Cr-SD (dAV-C-SD with the option -r = remote) all settings and functions can be controlled via the receiver dAV-Rr (dAV-R with the option -r).

Tripods, Monopod and Auto Mounts

WCM40 Wall mount
The wall mount WCM40 can be fixed to the walls with the help of screws. On the upper level a camera with pan/tilt unit can be placed, on the lower level e.g. the loudspeaker of our intercom system dAV-TRX-PS.

The length of the wall mount is customized, since a short version is sufficient for an anechoic chamber with ferrite tiles. For an EMC chamber with pyramid absorbers the longer version of the wall mount is necessary. If drill holes and the mounting plate is known, we can adapt to these values.

As an alternative to the camera holder, the “seatbox” SB is available. It is simply put on the car seat. As is the case with the camera holder, the camera and its batteries are also mounted by the help of a 2D Panoramic Head and a Velcro tape. The height and the angle of the board can be adjusted with the help of a wooden peg.

SBtc – Seatbox Special

mk messtechnik Seatbox Special (SBtc)

Up to 6 cameras and Pan/tilt units can be mounted on the “seatbox special”, the battery packs can be stored in the compartments and are fixed with Velcro stripes. In addition, the holes at the two sides of the seatbox are for easy transportation.

dAV Provides the Digital Transmission of Analog A/V Signals

mk messtechnik dAV Series Digital Transmission

The dAV series provides the digital and optical transmission of camera signals (dAV-C). In addition, the dAV-TRX intercom provides for the transmission of analog audio and/or video signals uni- or bidirectionally.

Fields of application are e.g. the acoustical monitoring of an engine speed or surveillance of an audio or video system in immunity tests. The main unit dAV is thus equipped with different options. The dimensions of the housing depends on the options chosen.

Available options:
dAV option – a: unidir. dig. audio transmission of stereo signals; 3dB: 20Hz-18kHz
dAV option – v: unidir. dig. video transmission of analog video signals NTSC/PAL
dAV option – l: integrated loudspeaker, mono dAV option –m: integrated microphone, mono
dAV option – i: intercom (each device consists of a loudspeaker and a microphone)

A typical configuration is the unidirectional transmission of audio and video signals with the version dAV option –a and dAV option –v. The resulting transmitter system is called dAV-uav (see picture). Please contact us in order to get a customized offer.

New Intercom System - dAV-TRX-DSP

Intercom dAV-TRX-DSP from mk-messtechnik GmbH

In addition to our well-known intercom system dAV-TRX, there is now the extended version dAV-TRX-DSP. By using state-of-the-art digital signal processors, the dAV-TRX-DSP enables half-duplex operation, i.e. speaking in both directions without operating a button or switch. The dAV-TRX-DSP system is used for the bidirectional optical transmission of voices during EMC tests (half duplex intercom). One transceiver is equipped with built-in batteries for mobile use (inside ALC), the second one is powered with an external power supply. Fields of application are the acoustic monitoring of A/V – devices, engines or radios and the use as an hands free intercom system for absorber lined chambers. The device can stay in the chamber during the tests.
