Analog & Digital links basics:
– One fiber, no matter how many signals
– Both signal directions possible with additional output filter
– digital transmission – no calibration (gain and offset) necessary
– standard +/-15V input/output range, others on request
– min. accuracy of 1% full range
– voltage dividers available (higher input ranges)
– higher frequencies on request
– standard both devices shielded with batteries, optional 19“

The Analog transmission links of the “U-series” can be used to transmit Analog or Digital signals 1:1.

They can be used to optically transmit signals from inside to the outside of the ALC (Absorber-Lined Chamber) or to transmit a stimulus inside the chamber (with optional output filter).

One link typically exists of a battery supplied transmitter and an also battery supplied receiver connected to each other with an optical fiber (standard: 62,5/125µm).

With the optical transmission, the shielded case and the external filter, the system is well equipped for EMI and EME tests.

Our systems are available with different numbers of channels, resolutions, band widths, and input voltage levels. Up to 16 channels can be integrated in one device, the receivers can be implemented as shielded (standard), 19” or plastic table top housing.

Since we develop and build the devices in house, we can adapt to many different needs, varying from the standard setups.

Option 19″

The receiving side of the automotive links can be integrated in a 19″-rack. On the picture below there are CAN-HS, CAN-LS, and LIN, all integrated in the 19″-case. On top of the 19″-receiver you can see the usual shielded aluminum cases for use in an anechoic chamber.

The optoA2B can be used for the optical transmission of A2B signals. It consists of master and slave which are supplied by internal batteries and which are connected with an optical fiber. With the optical transmission and the shielded case, the system is well equipped for EMI and EME tests. optical transmitter for A2B signals: optoA2B One side of the system can be integrated in a 19″ rack housing (optional). If the equipment is always used at the same place, this can reduce error sources, needs a shorter set up time, and does not occupy as much space on the table. optoFlex

mk-messtechnik optoFlex
This system is used for the optical transmission of Flexray-signals and allows the transmission in both directions with a sampling rate of 10 MBit/s. It consists of two identical transceivers, supplied by batteries, and a simplex-62,5/125µm-multimode optical cable (1-fiber-version available on demand). Due to its insensitivity against strong electromagnetic fields, the optoFlex is fit for tests of susceptibility and interference emission in EMC-test chambers, TEM cells, and for striplines. One side of the system can be integrated in a 19″ rack housing (optional). If the equipment is always used at the same place, this can help reduce error sources, needs a shorter set up time, and does not occupy as much space on the table. The 19″ case can hold up to 8 different or equal automotive links (SENT, CAN, Flexray etc.). The channels can be integrated later on.

The optoK system can be used for the optical transmission of K-Line signals with transmission rates of more than 30kbit/s at supply voltages of up to 24V. It consists of two identical battery supplied transceivers connected to each other with an optical fiber. With the optical transmission and the shielded case, the system is well equipped for EMI and EME tests. One side of the system can be integrated in a 19″ rack housing (optional). If the equipment is always used at the same place, this can reduce error sources, needs a shorter set up time, and does not occupy as much space on the table. The optoLAN-3xBCM89811 system can be used for the optical transmission of automotive ethernet signals with Broadcom BCM89811 and other 100BaseT1 chipsets.
There are two setups available, T1 to T1 (standard) or T1 to Tx (with integrated media converter => optoLAN-BCM89811 -MC), see separate setup document.
The standard connector is Rosenberger HSD (Z-coded). With the optical transmission, the shielded case and the high quality connector, the system is well equipped for EMI and EME tests and has proven its functionality in many automotive emc labs already.

optoPSI5

This system is used for the optical transmission of PSI5-signals and allows the transmission in both directions with a sampling rate of 50 MS/s. It consists of a transceiver, supplied by batteries, for the connection of a sensor, a simplex-62,5/125µm-multimode optical cable, and a receiver with internal batteries as well. Due to its insensitivity against strong electromagnetic fields, the optoPSI5 is fit for tests of susceptibility and interference emission in EMC-test chambers, TEM cells, and for striplines. optoPSI5 One side of the system can be integrated in a 19″ rack housing (optional). If the equipment is always used at the same place, this can reduce error sources, needs a shorter set up time, and does not occupy as much space on the table. The 19″ case can hold up to 8 different or equal automotive links (SENT, CAN, Flexray etc.). The channels can be integrated later on.

PSI5-Simulyzer

optical transmitter for SENT signals: optoSENT-2d
The optoSENT system was developed for the transmission of asynchronous SENT signals (Single Edge Nibble Transfer) and exists in two different versions: The asynchronous system can be used for the optical transmission (1 or 2 channels) with a resolution of min. 8Bit per channel and a maximal bandwidth of approx. 1MHz. In the synchronous version the sampling is digital and the system can transmit a sync pulse to a sensor (1 or 2 channels). The connected sensor is powered by our transmitter (standard is 5V) and does not need any further wiring. The system consists of a battery supplied transmitter and receiver which are connected via optical cables. With the optical transmission and the shielded case the devices are well equipped for EMI and EME tests. One side of the system can be integrated in a 19″ rack housing (optional). If the equipment is always used at the same place, this can reduce error sources, needs a shorter set up time, and does not occupy as much space on the table. The 19″ case can hold up to 8 different or equal automotive links (SENT, CAN, Flexray etc.). The channels can be integrated later on.

The optoSPI-HS system can be used for the bidirectional optical transmission of SPI signals with transmission rates of up to 1Mbit/s. It consists of two battery supplied transceivers connected to each other with an optical fiber.
